We recently hosted our annual Black History Month Showcase, bringing students, staff, and families together to celebrate the rich history, culture, and achievements of Black Americans. The event featured student performances, historical presentations, music, and artwork, all highlighting the profound impact of Black leaders, artists, and change-makers. (SEE PHOTOS|VIDEOS HERE)

Events like this are essential in fostering understanding, unity, and pride within our school community. They provide students with an opportunity to express themselves, learn from one another, and honor the past while looking toward the future. Seeing students take the stage, share their knowledge, and showcase their talents is both inspiring and empowering.

At Washington Middle School, diversity and inclusion are valued, and events like the Black History Month Showcase remind us of the importance of education, awareness, and celebration. A huge thank you to the dedicated teachers and students who worked hard to make this event a success!
