The Regional Office of Education, Project Impact Program works to identify barriers preventing a student from attending school and to provide support services to assist the students and families with eliminating those barriers in order to help the students improve and achieve academic success. The program currently serves students in grades K – 8 and provides the following intervention services to students and their families.
Home visits/wellness checks
Weekly/monthly attendance monitoring as needed
Ongoing interventions and support to address barriers to student achievement
Daily/Weekly accountability check-in visits
Truancy Review Board Hearing referral as needed
Liaison between family and school
Phone calls, emails, letters home as needed
Facilitate student groups within the school to promote student achievement in attendance, academics and behavior
Provide assistance to parents/guardians to promote their participation in the student’s learning experiences
Organize activities for at-risk students and parents/guardians
Assist students/families with community agency/social service referrals as needed
